Pool Tables & Pinball in Point Loma

Bar pool and bar pinball have quietly disappeared from a lot of San Diego. The tables get replaced by extra seating, the machines get sold off. Club Marina kept both — they've been part of the room for as long as the bar has been here.

Pool at Club Marina

One pool table, steady rotation, quarters on the rail. Weeknights are easy — you'll wait a game or two at most. Weekends are tighter; bring patience and a drink. The table is the kind of well-loved you can't fake.

Pinball

A real pinball machine, lit up against the wall, with a small but devoted high-score chase. If you grew up feeding quarters into a backbox, this is your room.

What else is going on

Pool and pinball share the floor with sports on the TVs, the happy-hour pour, and the rest of Happenings — watch parties, karaoke every other Saturday, and the regular weeknight quiet.

When to come play

Tuesday through Thursday evenings, you'll get a table without much wait. Weekends are the social scene — show up earlier, grab a drink, settle in. Either way you'll find the kind of bar that's still about the bar, not the wallpaper.
